Additional Options
This is where the fun stuff happens! Want an accent strip (or strips) included in the design? A different wood used for either the center or the side rails to provide contrast? Contact me for prices and options.
Exotic/Specialty Woods
Various exotic or other specialty woods can be used to accent or construct a sword rack. This can be anything from an accent strip (or strips) running along the length of the sword rack, to a different kind of wood being used for the center piece, to unique rails or, potentially, even an entire rack.
The species and amount of the woods I have available varies, so please contact me to discuss options and price. See the Our Products page for a list of the specialty wood I currently have on hand.
Staining
Any rack can be stained for an additional charge. Pricing will depend on the color of the stain, as well as any additional prep-work or wood treatment required to achieve the desired finish.
Shipping & Handling
Shipping & handling is determined on a per customer basis, based on destination. Note that due to the vagaries and whims of the shipping industry, I cannot guarantee a final delivery cost until the item is ready to be sent. To date S&H has been running around $20-$25 within the continental U.S.
I am also open, when possible, to sending products to customers via "SCA mail."
**Current Pricing reflects the cost and availability of the various types of wood and other supplies, along with the preparations required to construct the racks. (For example: the sawdust that comes from working Purpleheart is toxic, which means I need to specially prep the shop and take personal precautions every time I use it. Since this a one-man operation, it's not a minor undertaking.) While I always try to source the best possible prices for wood & supplies, I'm still at the whim of the market and so must occasionally adjust my prices accordingly.
